In 1994 a change in waste management licensing regulations required that a Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC) qualification was required by staff that manage / supervise licensed waste facilities.

Andy’s “easy to read” health and safety booklets have been issued to every employee during team briefing sessions allowing time for question and comment to ensure full understanding.

Since the introduction of this requirement, nationally recognised certificates of competence, as well as certificates of technical competence (COTC) have become a hallmark of quality business development and recognition.

In a climate of increasing regulation and regulatory intervention it is fast becoming a necessity for waste management businesses to demonstrate their encouragement of continued professional and proficiency development.

AJF Waste Management can provide assessment and training in both technical and competency accreditation for the following:

Waste Collection
Waste Transfer
Waste Treatment
Waste Recycling
Waste Disposal
Cleansing operations, incl: streets, public conveniences, highways and land.

All of the above can be assessed at levels 1& 2 (front line operatives) plus 3 & 4 (supervisory & management).
